About Cove
Cove is a leading provider of software solutions to owners and operators across all asset classes of commercial real estate. We are redefining real estate technology by consolidating previously-disconnected functionality and replacing legacy systems in buildings across the country, including Willis Tower - the largest multi-tenant office building in North America. Our team works closely with property managers, landlords, engineers, and tenants to simplify their real estate experience and add value to their assets. Backed by strategic investors (including Blackstone), Cove is a fast-growing startup entering a new phase of growth and we’re looking for bright, motivated, and hard-working professionals to join us.
About you
You are a skilled software engineer with experience building software platforms and knowledge of mobile products. You get excited about challenging problems and enjoy working with a team to build something great. You understand what a true MVP product looks like but also know the importance of debugging and improving on what you’ve created. You are looking for an opportunity to grow while working closely with others and contributing your expertise.
You take pride in your work, even if no one else sees it.
You have a great work ethic and enjoy solving challenging problems.
You get excited and have a passion for the best ideas, even if they aren’t yours.
You have an opinion and a willingness to disagree even if the person you disagree with is more “experienced” than you.
You understand that sometimes you have to step out of your comfort zone to get to your goals.
About the role
As a Fullstack Software Engineer at Cove, you’ll be joining our product team and have outsized influence over how our software is built and the tools we use. Your role will consist of building our software platform and delivering a great experience to our users. You’ll help us build, test, and run a robust, well-tested, and modern software platform (currently we use React/React Native on the front-end and Node on the backend). You’ll contribute across the stack, with a focus on web, and take on a growing role in developing and maintaining our mobile app. You’ll work closely with other engineers, product managers, and designers to bring features to life.
This is a fully remote position, and we operate as a distributed team that values clear communication and shared ownership. We invest in developer experience—using TypeScript across the stack, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and implementing end-to-end testing—to ensure our engineering team can move quickly and build with confidence.

4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer working on a team, delivering code to production.
Solid experience with modern frontend frameworks (React).

Understanding of web application architecture, engineering best practices, and computer science principles.
